Random just got moar Randomer

When I started this blog my only promise was that it would be random. I never guaranteed hilarity (that might not be true) and I never really could put this blog into a category of any kind (people are always trying to put me into boxes). I just wanted a place to put the randomness I come across out for other randoms to see and enjoy (whether or not they want to). Things were good back then, but out of nowhere I decided that if or when I wanted to blog about something tech related, I couldn't do it here and created an entirely new blog just for that. That was a dumb idea. As you can tell, I can hardly keep the content here fresh, let alone trying to keep another blog running. Add that with work and school (still going strong after all these years), hockey and games and the honey do list and the ever increasing demands of a truck owner (seriously?) and my new found love of yard work... no way I can handle both and provide them with the tender loving care they deserve. As I said, that was a dumb idea. In addition to that I have found myself not posting some things because I wasn't sure they fit the theme here... if I am trying to categorize randomness, I am doing it wrong. So I have decided a random number of things. First, no more second blog. If I feel like blogging something, it will be here, no focus, no theme, just wide open topic selection all up in your business. Second, I will do more picture posts. I have randomly decided that I am a "Mobile Photographer" (probably the world's first and best, but don't fact check that). Since I am so awesome with a mobile phone (check out my 'B' portfolio) it's only fair that I share that content here for you to drool over. I kinda feel like I owe you all that one. Fourth... I don't remember where I was going with this post as of right now, which for most people is indicative of a stopping point, oh but not me, I'm just gonna power through it and if I get us back on track then we will all be better for the experience (guess what, it's not happening). Eat tacos.

Some More Thoughts about Project Fi

First off... I’m still using Project Fi.This post originally started as a response to a comment about people quitting Project Fi too early and not letting the Project grow and improve... but it got long, so now it's a blog post. Boom.
I agree with many that Project Fi is still in its early stages, in “Project” mode, and has not been around long enough to work out all the kinks. The things some people say it offers that other services don’t (cross device calls and texts) can be achieved for free with Google Voice and there is very little difference to the end users. The biggest things Project Fi has going for it are these two things:

1. WiFi Assistant

This could/should be huge… like really super duper huge. Free high speed WiFi all over the place. Stream and browse at will! That said I’ve been on Project Fi for 4 months and have only had 3 or 4 keys. This needs to improve drastically in order to mitigate the large price increase people coming from far more data friendly plans would…
