Turns out no one is safe from the H1N1... not even your pets. Important people in Iowa confirmed that a cat has H1N1. Muffins (not it's real name), is a 13 year old indoor only cat and is said to be recovering. Pigs, birds, and ferrets (didn't make it) have also had confirmed reports of H1N1.
I guess the lesson here is that if you really love your pets, stop mouth kissing them while you are sick.
